Faith on the Move: A Devotional for MK/TCK Teens in Cross-Cultural Transition
Interaction International's 30 day devotional for Missionaries' Kids (MKs) and other Third Culture Kids (TCKs) as they move cross-culturally. Teens moving across the world to live in new cultures is more common today, but it's not a new phenomenon. Faith on the Move examines the lives of Ruth, Joseph, Esther, and Daniel from the Old Testament as they journey through their own cross-cultural experiences. Surprisingly, these Third Culture Kids from thousands of years ago have a lot in common with TCKs today.
Written specifically for teens who are returning to their passport culture (aka, where their parents are from), this devotional covers a number of important topics related to moving to (or back to) a different culture. Faith on the Move explores loss, hope, settling into a new place, cultural mis-steps, family dynamics, injustice, feeling lost, grief, forgiveness, managing stress, standing for your convictions, perseverance, healing, and so many other topics.
Each day Faith on the Move includes a short Bible passage, related quotes/prayers, reflection questions, and some suggested next steps. This book works well as a group study, but it can be enjoyed independently as well.
Since 1976, Interaction International has led the way in providing resources, programs, and training on and for Missionaries' Kids (MKs) and other Third Culture Kids (TCKs). Learn more about Interaction International's work at www.interactionintl.org.
