We had an amazing Open House on April 30th celebrating all that God has done these past 5 years! There were about 50 people who attended and for many it was the first time they had been to Sanctuary Inn. We had the opportunity to share the story of how God made the ministry of Sanctuary Inn possible, what He has been doing, and where He is leading the ministry.

Sanctuary Inn Open House - Guests

We shared from 3 John 5-8 where it says, β€œDear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way in a manner that honors God. It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.”

Missionary Care is not a new idea but one that God has put into place from the beginning as believers are sent out to share the Good News. It is actually a vital part of ministry for the church body to provide a space and a place for those β€œsent out for the sake of the Name.” Those who are sent out are to be encouraged, refreshed, and then sent out again in a manner that honors God.

Sanctuary Inn space for our guests to stop for a moment, to take a deep breath, and to hear from the Lord. So often we focus on what we can do for the Lord. But it is not so much about what you can do for the Lord; but what the Lord is doing in you. The Lord uses Sanctuary Inn to help an individual, couple, or family see what He is doing in them too.

Sanctuary Inn is a safe place along the journey and we are blessed and privileged to show hospitality and work together for the truth. The truth being that Jesus is preached among the nations, as He draws a multitude to Himself, bringing salvation to those who have an ear to ear. In order for someone to believe they must first hear (Romans 10:14).

The vision of Sanctuary Inn is to see thriving missionaries serving around the world. Even as we write this, we have a missionary family who have been guests at Sanctuary Inn scouting out an area they believe the Lord is leading them to serve. Please be praying for them as they discern God’s will and direction for their lives and that they would be encouraged in the Lord.

Did you know when you pray, give financially, and volunteer you are working together for the truth? Together we are co-laborers with Christ in bringing the truth to the nations. We are honored to be working alongside you in what the Lord is doing.
