Sanctuary Inn Newsletter: Awesome God!

Are you in awe of God? Are you in awe of the things He has done in the past, what He is doing now, and what you are believing in Him for the future? We at Sanctuary Inn are in awe of God! He has been blowing our minds year after year; bringing hundreds of missionary guests to Sanctuary Inn to be equipped, refreshed, and restored. We have seen God move and touch the lives of the guests that have stayed with us.

Some of our guests have been a family of 5 who have served in Chad, and a woman who has spent the last 10 years in cross cultural ministry with the majority of those years in Kenya. Applications are steadily coming in from people serving all over the world looking for a place to rest and a place to tell their story. Sanctuary Inn has become a safe haven for so many.

As many of you know, we have been praying and asking the Lord for the resources to pay off our property loan. We want to put all of our efforts and resources into making Sanctuary Inn the best place it can be to care for our missionary guests.

To our amazement at the end of August we received a gift for $100,000! Yes, you read that right. Our board and staff met together to pray and ask God what we should do with such a gift. It was a unanimous decision to put it all towards our loans.

When we bought our property five years ago Sanctuary Inn had two loans, each for $250,000 (totaling $500,000). At the beginning of 2020 we felt the Lord ask us to focus on paying these loans off. We stepped out in faith and gave $10,000 to each loan holder. And to our surprise one of the $10,000 payments was matched!

The 77-project came about shortly afterwards and once again, because of your generosity we raised $45,000! And then a group of generous people came together and matched the $45,000 raised and put up another $70,000 to be matched to help pay off one of the loans in its entirety.

And this is where the $100,000 gift comes back into play. We are so excited to let you know that one of Sanctuary Inns loans has been completely paid off! The remaining $30,000 of that gift money was given towards our one and final loan!

People have been continuously giving towards the 77-Project in this past year and we currently have another $10,000 to go towards the remainder of our final loan. That means, as of right now we only owe $200,000. We say “only” because God has generously provided $300,000 in 18 months. What an incredible testimony to God’s faithfulness!
