Sanctuary Inn is blessed to have an incredible Board that is working hard to guide, champion, and challenge us to grow into the vision that we believe we are called to live out. Each of our board members brings tremendous cross-cultural, ministerial, and professional expertise that is helping us to grow and thrive.
Jonathan Gouthier
Board Chairman
Jonathan Gouthier serves as a Pastor at First Church in Torrington, Connecticut, where he brings a deep passion for spiritual growth and discipleship. Originally from Winsted, CT, and now living in Torrington, CT, Jonathan answered God’s call to ministry after years of creative work in the design world. In 2017, he completed his Master of Divinity at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN, graduating summa cum laude with a focus on Greek and pastoral ministry.
Outside of ministry, Jonathan is an avid foodie, book lover, and train enthusiast. He enjoys creating art and beautiful designs, often finding joy in the simple things that inspire wonder. His life reflects a deep commitment to both spiritual and creative expression. He’s grateful to lead and serve with the Sanctuary Inn Board to continue to cultivate a place where transformation and restoration are the heart of the mission.
Steve & Joann Price
Members
Steven and Joann are the innkeepers. They have been in ministry for many years including time overseas and in local church ministry. For ten years they directed the residential ministry of the WorldView Center in Portland before starting up Sanctuary Inn in 2016. They have four grown children and seven grandchildren.
Dan Abbott
Member
Dan comes from a YWAM ministry background, enjoys teaching and preaching, and graduated from Western Seminary with a Masters in Biblical Studies and Theology. Dan and his wife Anna are the parents three sons.
Kara Githens
Member
Kara graduated from Western Seminary with masters degrees in Counseling and Intercultural Studies. She knows and understands the international life, having grown up in Brazil as an MK/TCK. She and her husband, Micah have been a part of Sanctuary Inn since it’s “Dream Team” days praying this ministry into exhistence. She then served as part of the staff team for 8 years debriefing missionaries. Now living in northern Kentucky she continues to be passionate about the work God is doing in and through Sanctuary Inn.
